Associate Marriage & Family Therapist #94304
Supervised by Shirley Bar-Dvir MFT #44258
I am primarily a relationship therapist. Our close relationships are a source of both great joy and enormous challenge, and therefore provide a rich opportunity for us to grow as individuals and deepen our capacity for connection. Through dialogue, mindfulness and embodied exploration, I support individuals and couples in coming into deeper contact with themselves and with each other. Some of the situations that bring people in to work with me include loss of an important relationship, a desire for greater intimacy or harmony in a current one, conflict, anger, grief, anxiety, and loneliness.
I also specialize in working with people who are navigating or considering an open or alternative relationship structure. Some people come to me to work specifically on approaching this aspect of their relationship with attention and intention and self reflection, others simply want a therapist who understands and accepts their lifestyle. I welcome all types of loving relationships, and also people of every race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, and sexual orientation. I am also kink friendly. This is a space to be as you are, in all your beautiful complexity.
My work is rooted in the power of mindfulness, the holistic nature of mind, body, and context, and the importance of the therapeutic relationship. I approach it with a solid warmth and deeply rooted faith that each of us has a natural tendency to move in the direction of growth and joy. I am here to create with you a space where every bit of your experience is held with compassion, and to support you in bringing your awareness more and more into the here and how, where life is unfolding and you have the power to meet it in any way you choose.
