If you are feeling overwhelmed by your emotions, find yourself engaging in problematic behaviors and/or relationships to relieve your pain, are struggling to assert yourself and make boundaries, or are just feeling stuck, therapy can help. It can be hard to start to take back your own power and feel like you're in the diver's seat of your life. It can be helpful to have someone to come alongside you in your growth process. I have found that working somatically, that is with a special focus on the body, can help you take the reigns of your life, improve wellbeing, and increase your capacity to be with a range of experiences.
I am passionate about working people to address addictions (process and substance) and folks dealing with codependency. Improving your day-to-day, even after severe loss or in the midst of persistent depression or anxiety, is possible.
I have been in the mental health field for the past decade working mostly in nonprofits with underserved adults, children and teens. I currently partner with Legal Services for Children and Vistacion Valley Middle School to support children and teens. Social justice and intersectional feminism, are at the heart of how I work.
